The courses explains what dementia is and why challenging behaviour can be mitigated and understood. An essential courses for anyone dealing with dementia.
Training in the healthcare sector including work with person centred care.
All carers in the healthcare sector specifically domiciliary agencies and nursing homes especially who require a training the trainer course, and deal with dementia, challenging behaviour, difficult behavioural and person centred care

Duration:2 Day
Accreditation:Level 3 for the trainer and level 2 (optional) via the OCN.
Requirements:A normal command of the English language, and preferably some experience of working in the care sector. Call if unsure you meet the requirements.

Course program

This is a 2 day course aimed at training the delegate into becoming a trainer in the subject of challenging behaviour and dementia including person centred care (PPC).

The course material provides a Powerpoint presentation, comprehensive notes, delegate workbook and course CD and DVD.

The informal yet interactive training atmosphere accelerates training, and during the the course the new trainer will also learn about some of the potential barriers to delivering the subject and how to overcome them.
